Paternity DNA Test in Kenya

Paternity DNA test determines whether a man in question is the biological father of a certain child. The child’s DNA pattern is compared to that of the alleged father to check for evidence of inheritance which is the proof of a biological relationship. Paternity testing can be used for legal or home/peace of mind purposes. In a standard DNA paternity test, the tested parties include the child, father, and mother.

The mothers’ participation helps to exclude half of the child’s DNA leaving the other half for comparison with the alleged father’s DNA. However, a paternity test can be performed without the participation of the mother and the results will still be equally conclusive. In a DNA paternity test, the result is 0% when the alleged man is not biologically related to the child, and the probability of parentage is typically 99.99% when the alleged father is biologically related to the child.
